To make it even easier when you’re viewing my photos on Flickr, I’ve created two collections – one for Fashion (mostly Trollbeads, Crocs and other shoes) and one for Photography…

I’ve always been into alternative dressing, from back in the hippie days at school, through a good five years of wearing only black in the ‘goth’ days and nowadays just wearing whatever makes me smile!  I like anything bright, vintage or anything that’s just a bit unusual…so last year I was delighted to find the fabulous www.whatkatiewore.com blog.  Blogged by boyfriend Joe, Katie wears a different outfit every day and is pictured on the site in all her brightly coloured fabulousness!!

Last month I was delighted to be featured in the ‘What You Wore’ section – check it out here.  Want to know where I got the outfit from?  Check it out…

Storm umbrella from TKMaxx, gold leather jacket from Oasis, mushroom dress from New Look, Pretty Polly tights from TKMaxx, purple ‘Bayswater’ shoes from Mulberry.

I am a massive fan of Trollbeads jewellery and I have lots of fantastic colours but there is one combination that I never take apart…

This neutral bracelet goes with just about everything and is full of beads that mean something to me, such as the daisy, my 1st wedding anniversary pressie from my husband, gold ‘endless’ that was a leaving gift from colleagues at my last job and the artisan at the back right, which a friend had made especially to complete this combo ;o)

Clockwise from Mexico lock: fairy, stopper, artisan, letter G, alabaster amber, chai bud, space, black squirrel, around the world, ooak amber, daisy, ooak amber, gold endless, glass stone, small planet, jasper, alabaster amber, letter C, brown armadillo, lucky knot (and a safety chain).

Once a week on a lunch break I wander into the village where I work and check out the local charity shops looking for vintage bargains.  Last Friday, on one such trip I stumbled upon these bad boys – Nike high top trainers – or if you’re reading this in the States, I’m talking about sneakers!

Being a child of the 80s I distinctly remember all the older ‘cool’ kids wearing these, usually in bright neon colours, but never had the pleasure of owning a pair…in fact by the time I was a teenager ‘Red Levels’ were all the rage!

The Debra charity shop had marked these up at a size 9, but on closer inspection I realised they are a UK size 8 – my size!  Barely worn and pretty clean, I reckon these were a bargain at £5!!

These look to me like an original 80s pair but I know Nike still sell high tops today so I’d be interested to know if they’re from the 80s, 90s or 00s – if anyone knows please do comment here to share :O)

No not that kind of Crocs, I’m talking about these bad boys:

Having found myself on the Crocs blog yesterday (here), I decided I would share some pics of my others!

Having purchased some Prima Crocs (far right) on a whim last summer I fell in love with how comfy they are…so much more supportive than regular pumps and the structure of the insole promotes circulation so your feet miraculously don’t get cold!  Plus, when it rains, you can dry them off and pop them straight back on, genius!!

If you only wanted one pair (which you won’t by the time you’ve tried your first pair), I’d recommend Olivia (left) – they’re all comfy but these are the best as they’re slightly more ‘squishy.’

Left to right: Olivia in Ultraviolet, Malindi in Black, Alice in Grape, Prima in Silver.

Oh and if you’re looking for some comfy, warm, waterproof boots, I can definitely recommend Nadias, pictured below ;o)

I ordered these on Valentines day and they sent me a free little red heart Jibbitz charm – cute!  Thanks Crocs!
